Who buys this
Language and humanities teachers with a hundred and twenty essays a term who spend a weekend on marking and still write the same three comments.
Where to start in Lovable
Paste this into Lovable as the opening prompt. It sets up one screen and one job, which is easier to grow from.
Build an essay feedback tool for a teacher. The teacher pastes or uploads a rubric with criteria and levels, then adds student texts by upload or link. For each text the app gives a score per criterion with the sentence that justifies it, three concrete improvement notes in student facing language and a suggested grade the teacher can override. Show a class view with the most common weakness and a printable feedback sheet per student. Never publish a grade without teacher confirmation.

- The rubric is the prompt. Score strictly against the teacher's criteria and levels, nothing else. A generic good writing opinion is worthless in a classroom and impossible to defend to a parent.
- Quote the evidence. Every score carries the sentence it came from. This is what turns the tool from a black box grader into something a teacher can put their name on.
- Feedback in student words. Three specific actions for the next draft, no rubric jargon, no praise sandwich. Feedback that a fourteen year old can act on is the actual product.
- Teacher always signs off. Suggested grades stay invisible to students until confirmed. Schools buy assistance, and they refuse anything that looks like automated grading.
Where this usually breaks
- Scores drift between runs, which is fatal when two students compare marks. Fix the model, the temperature and the rubric version per assignment and store all three with the result.
- Student work is personal data of minors. Ask the school for a data agreement, keep texts inside your own backend, and delete them at the end of the term automatically.
- Do not add an authorship detector. Those tools misfire on second language writers and one false accusation ends the contract.
How it makes money
- Per teacher per month. Teachers buy this personally at a low price, then the department follows.
- School licence. Yearly, with shared rubrics and a data processing agreement included.
