Who buys this
Renovation contractors who lose the job because the client cannot picture the finished room from a quote in a spreadsheet.
Where to start in Lovable
Paste this into Lovable as the opening prompt. It sets up one screen and one job, which is easier to grow from.
Build a renovation preview tool. The contractor uploads a photo of the room, picks a style and swaps surfaces: floor, wall colour, cabinet fronts, worktop. The app returns a photorealistic version of the same room keeping the windows and layout in place. Attach a materials list with the chosen items and a price range, then generate a shareable proposal page with before and after and a signature field.

Build order
- Keep the room, change the surfaces. Mask the floor, the walls and the cabinet fronts and regenerate only inside the mask. A full reimagining of the photo looks impressive and useless, because the client sees a room that is not theirs.
- Bind visuals to a real catalogue. Each option points to a product the contractor can actually order, with a price per square metre. Without that link the preview is decoration, and with it the preview is a quote.
- Two options, never twenty. Present a base and a premium version of the same room. Choice between two closes deals, an endless gallery starts a second month of deliberation.
- End on a signature. The proposal page should accept an approval and a deposit in the same view. That single step is why contractors pay for this rather than sending screenshots.
Where this usually breaks
- Generated rooms lose straight lines: door frames bend and tiles run uphill. Regenerate at higher resolution in tiles and blend, or keep the original geometry visible around the mask edge.
- Clients treat the render as a promise. Put a visible note that finishes vary by batch and lighting, and keep the materials list as the contractual part.
How it makes money
- Per proposal. A contractor compares the fee to a lost job, so the price can be high per use.
- Showroom licence. Tile and kitchen showrooms pay yearly to have their own catalogue inside the tool.
